PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE – MAY 2021 NEWSLETTER
Welcome to May! Happy May Day, Mother’s Day, World Laughter Day, Sibling Appreciation Day, Mother Goose Day, and many other obscure holidays in May.
We had a great demo this past month by Kevin Davidson, where he depicted a cool, older Volkswagen Bug parked on a street. It was expertly painted with a variety of materials, and I think everyone really enjoyed the demonstration and discussion that went with it.
Our Zoom demonstrations are going very well, I believe, and in some cases you are probably able to see better using the artist’s camera and Zoom, than if you were to be sitting in the back of the traditional classroom. And you don’t have to leave your home! If you don’t know how to use Zoom, please contact one of the board members for a lesson. There is no cost to use it, and it is as simple as clicking on a link in the email invitation. Thank you again to Karen Neal for arranging our demonstrators to present to us! And… Douglas Dow is doing an excellent job on our newsletter. Thanks too to Mike Dawson for his work on the AAA website.
We hope to be updating you soon on the Annual Exhibit and Competition for the Anaheim Art Association. Keep working on your works of art in anticipation of entering your best work.
We look forward to seeing you on our next Zoom Demonstration. Check out our new web site too, at www.AnaheimArt.org
